Many people are able to name talented individuals to oppose Brown's crown of "Greatest Running Back of All Time." Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Gale Sayers, LT, and Emmitt Smith are a few. They are all great athletes, all great running backs.

But, when you look at the numbers, Brown comes out head and shoulders above them all.

Brown was selected eight times as a first-team All-Pro (At least two more times than the aforementioned running backs).
Brown's 5.2 yards per carry is more than any other running back with at least 2,000 career yards.
Brown's 9.5 yards per reception is more than any of the players mentioned above (with the one exception of Gale Sayers at 11.7).
Brown was named MVP three times.
Brown is the only running back in the history of the NFL to average 100 rushing yards per game for his career.

If you were on defense in his playing days, you were not lookin forward to playin against the Browns. Funny how his name was the same as his team.

It's the Bears and Chargers for the 2035 DFL LC game. The two players that come to my mind when I think of the history of both teams are **** Butkus and Lance Alworth (my personal all time fav).

Most recent, in the 2020 season, Texans coach O Brien decided that WR DeAndre Hopkins was a problem for the Texans and traded him to Arizona for RB David Johnson and a 2nd round pick.
All Hopkins had done was put up 4 1000 yard seasons in his 5 yr career w Houston and named All Pro in 3 of the seasons. So, the Cards came out way ahead on that deal as Hopkins had his 6th 1000 yd year and made the big catch on a hail mary for the win vs the Bills. Both the HC and GM for the Texans were fired as a result of the fans criticism of the trade and a season that did not go well.

Bill O'Brien wrecked the team. They could've had a playoff push if not the trade. Even if they had to trade, they could've at least asked for more draft value. Just because of that one trade, they are now drafting a new QB and adding minimal players with limited picks.

P.S. Accept me into your league, please, thanks.

Speaking of lopsided trades, the most infamous goes to a trade processed on October 12 of 1989, when Herschel Walker, a Heisman winner thought to be in his prime with the Cowboys, was dealt off to the Minnesota Vikings for 5 players, 9 picks including three firsts and three seconds.

Vikings received a player that ran for less than 2400 yards during his time with the team, not what you expect from three firsts and three seconds, Minnesota also intook Dallas' two third round picks along with a tenth round pick.

San Diego played a minor role in this transaction as they recieved RB Darrin Nelson and gave away a fifth to the Vikings.

Over the next three years, the Cowboys would use those picks to trade up and select hall of famers Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin while also drafting quality players in Russell Maryland and Darrell Woodson just to name a few.

They made three super bowls from in a span of four years and won them all in 1992, 1993, and 1995. Dallas was just 1-15 in 1990, and it shows how a megatrade can change the course of a team for a decade.

Vikings have made zero super bowls since and did not make the playoffs in the two full years (that's right!!! 2.5!) with Herschel Walker on the roster.

Yep, Walker was great for the Cowboys, both as a RB and what they got for him in "The Trade".

What's funny is that right after leaving Minnesota, he signed with Philadelphia and had his second 1000 rush yards season which also would be his last. It's as if Minnesota was bound to bust on that trade.

No kidding, talk about adding insult to severe injury ........

here's an interesting article about it .... https://www.bemidjipioneer.com/sports/football/5407226-Despite-three-uninspiring-seasons-with-Vikings-Herschel-Walker-says-he-belongs-in-hall-of-fame and I agree with what he's saying about the problem with him not being a fit for the Viking split back scheme and not utilizing his receiving skills. When you put that much out for a player, they should have maxed what he could do the best and in what format. Same thing happens in MFN, when an elite player goes to a team that is not a fit in the play selection and supporting team. His performance after being traded to the Eagles backs that up.

Speaking of the Eagles, one of the great stories in NFL history is the Cinderella QB Nick Foles led Eagles and the Super Bowl vs Tom Brady's Pats. Tom Brady has only lost Super Bowls to two QBs, Foles and ??? can you name him? without lookin it up? lol. The Super Bowl between the Eagles and Pats is a great game to watch, the full game is on Youtube if you need a good football fix in the offseason or.... even during! :)

CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW INCREDIBLE THIS MOMENT FELT? and for an Eagles team & city that had been starving for just a playoff team for so long, since the one time the **** Vermiel coached Eagles made it to the SB but lost, over 20 years before. The Chargers only got there one time, and they got blown out by the 49ers. Can you name the teams that havnt made it to the Big Game? There are four, which are at the bottom of this post.

Browns, Lions, Jaguars, and Texans/Oilers.

The younger Manning.

Also the 2004 Eagles were coached by Andy Reid, not Vermeil, who already retired after a championship with the Rams. Those 1980 Eagles were coached by Vermeil. Both lost in super bowls.
